Hi. I’m Rick Theule (tool-ee). Welcome.
I’m a regular guy who left an 18+ year career in automotive sales and management because God called me to something new.
I’m a writer, speaker, and teacher with a desire to help you grow closer to, and have a deeper relationship with, Jesus through prayer, study of scripture, and conversation.
And I believe we also need closer conversations with each other.
In 2013 God made it very evident to me I needed to be doing something new. How did I find out? How did he enlighten me? He placed his boot firmly on my backside and kicked me out of a job I loved and was good at. Talk about getting my attention.
I took another sales job, and over the course of the next couple of years I began searching for what he truly wanted from me.
All those years in sales and management roles uniquely prepared me to share my story through writing and speaking. I love standing on stage in front of a crowd. Where some people lose their cookies, I am comfortable and in my element. I’m an open book. Seriously. Ask me anything.
Whether through writing or speaking, I want to create a connection with you. I believe we can help each other grow closer to God and each other when we share our stories.
I hope my writing and speaking encourages you to reach out to those around you. I hope it pushes you to share your story, and seek out the stories of those around you.
Do you want to grow closer to God and your community? Do you want to learn how to have a closer conversation?
Share this platform with me. Invite me to speak at your event. Ask me to write for your publication or website. Meet me for a cup of coffee.
Gather in as we seek to have a closer conversation.
I’m husband to my amazing wife of more than 27 years, and dad to a couple of outstanding young men.
We live in Michigan with our Yellow Lab, Lincoln, and love it. #TeamMittenState

Bernice told me about your blog site. Wow Rick. This is awesome! Thanks for being open and real to others for His sake. Keep it up!
Thanks Lisa! Spread the word.
